IMPACT™ provides powerful tools to assist operational staff
to manage delivery of the service including monitoring and predicting
real-time train performance.
These tools provide operational staff with the information they
need, in the format they need it, quickly and easily.

Train,
Crew and Performance Monitoring
IMPACT™ provides flexible network views showing real-time train
movements with punctuality calculated at berth level and aligned
with TRUST at location level, allowing detailed analysis of time-loss
and its causes within the industry framework.
Trains can be interrogated for a wide variety of information
to enable controllers and other operational staff to obtain the
information they need easily and quickly.
Information obtainable from the system includes:
- Schedule, actual and predicted train journey details at both
location and berth level with punctuality
- Train crew details
- Performance history including time lost in running and station
overtime
- Next and previous workings
- Current and predicted PPM status for a train
- Crew location can also be tracked and shift details obtained
through simple interrogation of the system.
- Performance Event details and message log
- A schedule and forecast "Simplifier" to provide the order
and time of trains due at each location
- Current network status with performance events and the location
of time-loss identified
It is possible to attach messages (including voice messages)
to all IMPACT™ objects including trains, locations, crew, and
performance / time-loss events.
These messages can be private or public and allow rapid communication
of information to other staff and / or passengers.

Crew Location & Details

Once a user has logged on to the system the their position
may be tracked at major location level via GPS using an IMPACT™ device or phone.
This provides control staff with:
- An up to date location record of crew, and;
- Scheduled and revised shift details
All of this information is available through the IMPACT™ system
via an easy to use interface to assist controllers and other
staff to provide an optimal service in times of perturbation.
