Performance Analysis and Reporting

IMPACT™ allows you to analyse historic performance in any number of ways for yesterday, last week, last period and last year, by train, location and performance cause type to provide you with the information you need to report past performance and identify the issues for future performance improvement.

Trends in performance can also be analysed in detail through the charts.

Charts have a drill down capability to allow users to identify the substance and causes behind the figures. If you want to know how a figure is made up - just click the bar /line you're interested in on the chart.

Data behind the charts can also be downloaded to your PC and charts can be saved as PDF documents.

Replay Performance Events

IMPACT™ also provides a fast, easy to use replay facility to enable performance events to be analysed after the event. This facility incorporates sophisticated search options to save you time identifying and replaying events.

IMPACT™ also provides ReplayPlus functionality which allows users to pause and replay “live” information, making review of “just happened” train movements possible quickly and easily.

Analyse and Verify TRUST Level Performance Reporting

IMPACT™ has the capability to receive PHIS files and equate TRUST level reported delays and attributions to berth level performance. This provides a greater understanding of where, why and how delays occur, adding significant value to the TRUST data for performance improvement purposes.

IMPACT™ can also be used to verify the accuracy of the allocation of TRUST delays to incidents through its ability to trace reactionary delays and analysis of the operational status of the network.

Potential issues where more justification for attributions made is required, can be identified and highlighted for staff attention.

Analyse & Understand Sub-Threshold Delays

Over 50% of time-loss occurs in sub-TRUST reporting threshold increments. As rail performance improves it is increasingly important to understand the causes of smaller increments of time-loss to achieve the increasing performance targets demanded of the rail industry.

The majority of these instances of time-loss are not captured by TRUST and, due to inaccuracies in TRUST reporting caused by rounding to whole minutes, may actually be incorrectly reported.

TRUST reporting does not capture the necessary network granularity required to identify the location and therefore the causes of time-loss accurately.
